The origins of Nueva Andalucía as a residential area go back to the 1960s, when Catalan businessman José Banús Masdeu bought a large, tree-covered plot called El Angel, located, as we explained above, between San Pedro de Alcántara and Marbella. The Valle del Golf (golf valley) encompasses the entire area adjoining the five golf courses located there: Los Naranjos Golf Club, Real Club de Golf Las Brisas, Magna Marbella Golf, Club de Golf Aloha and Golf La Dama de Noche. The second is in the Puerto Banús Business Centre, and the third is near Casino Marbella.Besides the extensive range of restaurants, shops, professional services, banks, cafés and hotels, there is a casino and even a popular flea market that opens every Saturday and where you can find “everything”. Also in this area, you’ll find residential complexes like La Alzambra, with luxury apartments and penthouses, and townhouse villas in an exclusive location, La Alzambra Hills Club, luxury apartment complex, Medina de Banus, apartments, Señorio de Aloha, apartments, Altos del Rodeo, apartments and townhouses, and a multitude of villas in assorted sizes and designs, adorning the labyrinth of little streets that run through the area.
