Costalita: Beachside Apartments and Townhouses in Estepona
17 Jul 2018 | Developments GuideCostalita is an urbanization of apartments and townhouses 15 minutes from Puerto Banús, on the New Golden Mile, Estepona, next to Saladillo beach. Its main feature is its combination of rustic, Andalusian style and contemporary-modern design, from the hand of prestigious architect Pablo Villarroel.
In the area around Costalita, there are supermarkets and shopping centres, like El Pilar and Benavista, which include banks, chemists’, professional services, restaurants, cafés and a wide range of shops.
A few minutes away, you’ll find prestigious golf courses, such as Los Flamingos, Atalaya and Guadalmina, while the urbanization itself is home to Racquet Club Villapadierna, with its paddle-tennis courts, two tennis courts, children’s play area and social club with restaurant and barbecue, next to four-star hotel Iberostar Costa del Sol.
The urbanization consists of six residential complexes: Costalita, Costalita del Sol, Costalita del Mar, Villas de Costalita, Terrazas de Costalita and Triángulo de Costalita. There is also a frontline complex comprising five luxury townhouses, with 3 or 4 bedrooms, a large shared garden, swimming pool, barbecue area and direct access to the beach, built in 2005.
The Costalita residential complex is made up of six phases:
- Phases 1 and 2, built in 1998, are home to 2-bedroom apartments in a complex with gardens and a swimming pool, located right on the beachfront.
- Phase 3, built in 2000, has 2- and 3-bedroom apartments and duplex penthouses, in a commonhold with tropical gardens and swimming pool.
- Costalita Phase 4, built in 2002, offers 3- and 4-bedroom apartments and a duplex penthouse, in a frontline complex with its own entrance and individual security.
- Phase 5, built in 2003, is at the heart of the urbanization and houses 2- and 3-bedroom apartments.
- Phase 6, built in 2007, also offers 2- and 3-bedroom apartments, in the only complex that exceeds three stories, with these properties being the most modern in the urbanization.
Costalita del Sol is the residential complex located at the entry to Costalita, next to the urbanization’s security cabin, and just a few minutes’ walk from the beach. It was built in 2003, to offer 1- and 2-bedroom holiday apartments, with a small garden and inviting swimming pool.
Costalita del Mar, built in 2002, is the most luxurious complex on the urbanization, with spacious 2- to 4-bedroom apartments lining the beachfront. Their large terraces enjoy direct views of the sea, Gibraltar, and the African coast, not to mention the meticulous gardens and swimming pool. The owners of Costalita del Mar enjoy services included within the owners’ association, like property management, sauna, games area, two parking spaces and storage room.
The Villas de Costalita complex is made up of 2- and 3-bedroom townhouses, each with its own private garden and access to the community’s spectacular tropical gardens and swimming pool. It was built in two phases: the first in 1999, located next to La Antigua beach club, and the second in 2006, a new phase with modern, luxurious townhouses offering 3 or 4 bedrooms, a large garage and garden.
Terrazas de Costalita, built in 2005, is home to 2- and 3-bedroom holiday apartments, in buildings set around a swimming pool with its own bar. The complex is next to Racquet Club Villapadierna.
Finally, the Triángulo de Costalita complex, just behind Bricorama garden centre and DIY store, was built in 2003 and offers apartments with 1 to 3 bedrooms, as well as shared gardens and swimming pools.
The varied complexes that make up the urbanization enjoy easy access to the magnificent Saladillo beach and its chiringuito beach bars: La Antigua and Pepes Beach.
