Marbella East

Not everybody knows it but Marbella extends further east of the downtown area, incorporating distinct residential areas all the way to Calahonda, where it meets the municipality of Mijas. The main focus in this area is on a coastal stretch that is home not only the best beaches in the greater Marbella region, but also a wide variety of excellent beach clubs, fish restaurants and chiringuito beach bars. It is also home to first class resort hotels such as the Hotel Los Monteros, a great choice of golf clubs, tennis clubs and spa facilities, as well as restaurants, shops and nightlife.

What’s more, Marbella East is where the Marbella Rugby Club, international colleges and the region’s main hospital are located. The most exclusive residential areas include above all the beachside villa suburb of Los Monteros and the luxury apartments and townhouses at Bahía de Marbella and Río Real, while El Rosario, Las Chapas and Elviria also offer peaceful leafy streets on both the beachside and overlooking the sea and golf courses.
